The
Philippine Cultural Center of Virginia is located in the
City of Virginia Beach. It was a self-help project of the
Philippine American community under the leadership of Dr.
Manny Hipol. The facility was opened in June 2000 and has
been the site of occasion/celebration since then.
If you are in town, visit the center and make it a point
to have your picture taken as a reminder that we have
broken through the barrier of attitude gratitude mentality in our
community.

Computers:
Are going to be the thing of the future. It will
dominate our household like the TV set. There
are many of us who thinks we are too old for
computers, but I suggest we think twice because we
are beginning to see computers becoming a part of
our daily lives. Start looking at the City's adult
education programs to improve our understanding of
how computers and the Internet will rule our lives.
Banking for instance is almost automated. We can
buy and sell almost anything online. There are
places that have computerized toilets now and if we
know nothing about these things, we would wish to
be somewhere primitive.
